Payroll Supervisor
Remote - Jacksonville, FL
Job Summary: The Payroll Supervisor responsible for supervise the payroll function and lead a team to deliver efficient and timely payroll services for all Staff and multiple clients. He/she will provide advice to clients on payroll matters and aid in payroll processes to team members.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Payroll Supervisor are:
- Process data entry for multi-state payroll under strict deadlines while ensuring all entries and system outputs are in compliance with all state and federal laws
- Process Semi-Monthly multi-state payrolls for multiple clients
- Review payroll inputs from various clients, to ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple payrolls.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to build capability and enhance payroll skills and knowledge within the payroll function to payroll staff.
- Ensure requirements are met individually and as a team including the performance planning and assessment cycle and the requirements of finance, audit, and risk reporting.
- Manage staff performance and ensure consistency.
- Investigate and provide advice on any payroll claims and issues that are escalated.
- Check payroll variances with satisfactory comments and verify that payroll calculations are correct for multiple client payrolls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory laws and payroll tax requirements at various payroll clients.
- Resolve payroll process related issues and problems.
- Review, check, and sign payroll reconciliations related to general ledger accounts.
- Ensure the maintenance of payroll records and documents.
Qualifications
- PrismHR experience and PEO (highly preferred)
- Degree in accounting, business administration or similar financial management qualification.
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a payroll team leader or similar role.
- Expert skills in MS Excel and Advanced skills in MS Office.
- Experience in managing payroll processing for multiple clients.
- Knowledge of local and international banking systems and regulations.
- Sound experience leading a team of payroll staff.
- Experience working in environments under pressure, managing multiple priorities to proactively seek solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other areas of Operations - Finance.
- Strong analytical, methodical, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Work Location:
This role is 100% onsite at our Jacksonville, FL; West Bend, WI; or Fort Myers, FL offices for local candidates. Applicants residing outside of these areas may be considered for a remote position.
